I like em. I got 3 42" fans. Is the blade on that one cast, hub and all?

| on mine that hub is cast iron and the blades are some sort of aluminum casting. They are however, very brittle.

I'll get to this thing after I finish the 21646 and the Century and the Wagner and the....
Anyway, it is in working condition as-is... VERY greasy and dirty, but usable. The switch box alone weighs about 12 lb. , probably another 90-100 lb for the rest of the fan.
Oh, and it's also 24"...

Hey Andrew, Great videos you've got going on YouTube. Thanks for taking the time to share.
For the 24" model, does that run at 855 rpm?
For the 42" model, how the heck did you get it down from there???!!! Doesn't that thing weigh 200+?
Also, I've got some pages from a 1930's ILG catalog. If there is interest from other members, let me know and I'll scan and post the info.

The type 24 runs at 1175/855 I believe. Those both came from the same building. The converter box was located above a walk in cooler that we just happened to catch. The fan itself was mounted in a penthouse above the dishwashing/pantry room.
For the 42" ones, we hooked them up via a steel cable to my truck and a friend of mine broke out the bricks that held the fans in and knocked the fan loose and I lowered it down with the truck. The shipping weight is 670 for the 42". I have access to around 4 more of those too. Don't know what I'll do with them but I hate seeing them get dumped!

| I remember the K&B's from when I was a kid. They got bought out by Rite-Aid around 1996-7 or so. That must be the original K&B on Canal Street. Damn wish I could have been there when they closed that, look at the longnoses too! Attached Image (viewed 188 times):

I have one that floats above my head in my sleep. Unfortunately everytime i try to take a picture of it, the thing disappears. I have still not solved this problem but when I do, I will show pictures of it.
