Hi Colin -

Did you try a search for Marelli on here? There have been a few threads on them recently with lots of pictures and information about them.

http://afca.mywowbb.com/search.php?s=&q=Marelli

I own several myself including a 360 Degree ceiling oscillator, a 360 desk oscillator, and a few stationary models. Very nice fans but a little tough to come by here in the USA. I have no idea how many might have been exported there.

Colin, here is a low-resolution video of a Marelli 360-degree oscillator in action.  It's mounted on the ceiling, however, I have seen a catalogue in which the fan was wall-mounted; it may not have been intended for ceiling use.  Works great that way, though.

This is my 360 Marelli ceiling fan running. It does not have the cage on it in this video. Also it's down right now and in Kim Franks hands for a going over. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkX2F9lqSIY

Wow!!! Thats a grail fan for sure. Is it cast iron? I'd love to have that sitting on the shelf. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing the photos of that Chuck. Are you aware of any other known examples? Thats the first I've seen actual pictures of that model.

When I bought it, I thought it might be bronze; but when it arrived, one of the fingers had been broken off to expose that it is white metal (luckily the finger was still in the packing and is back where it belongs!) The patina makes it look a lot like burnished bronze, though.

I have not seen any other examples, but I believe many were made.
