My little Polar Cub tossed one of the blade wings off the hub the other day, bending the wing in the process. This is one of the first fans I ever found, more than 30 years ago. It was in the garage of an investment property I purchased, painted silver, and didn't run. It's a typical noisy little Polar, but I hate to leave it the way it is.
Anyone able to fix the wing and rivet it back in place?
I'll attach a photo of how cheerful it looked before the Tragedy.

Hey there Mark,
So good to see you're still kicking. I've missed your input to the site.
Please post an image of the front and back of the hub and blades so I can see what kind of rivet we're dealing with. If it looks like something I have in my rivet inventory, I'll let you know and you can just send it to me.
Tom

Still kicking, Tom, just doing different stuff these days, mainly travel by motorcycle. Haven't bought a fan in a couple of years...doesn't mean I don't like 'em any more, just, I dunno, tinkering with the bike is just as rewarding as tinkering with a fan, and I get to create a breeze, too . Thanks for the kind offer, pix follow.

The wing that flew off is also tweaked; dunno if it can be fixed.

So, I send the precious Tragedy to Loos, go off to Utah to look for Mormons for a week, come back, eventually the mailman brings a box from Nick, and sure enough, the wing is now riveted onto the hub. However...Nick might need to work on his packing technique a little bit:

Mark, If that's an 8" I think I might have a replacement for you. Let me take a look and I'll let you know.
That is if you still need one.

| Mark, You only sent me $1.31. That was just for rivoting it on not straightening it.That was the most money I made all year.

Cool Nick, you only charge $1.31 to rivot one blade. I have a whole box of stuff coming your way.

Now wait just a dingdong minute here, Andy! That wing was straight when it left my house.

Remember this tragedy? The bent blade? Well, Nick went wayyyyyy above and beyond on the thing. Take a look at the box he made, and note that he didn't just fix the blade, he REPLACED ALL FOUR WINGS!!!!! WHAT A GUY!!!!!!!
All for $1.31! Well, actually, I feel really bad about him doing all that work, and spending about $15 on shipping, so I found a $5.00 Cayman Islands dollar and sent it to him. I'd pay him what the work was worth, but the whole fan's only worth, what, $40?
THANKS A MILLION, NICK!!!!!!!
