How many fiber washers likely go in the front of my westinghouse? The fiber washers I got were too big so I've been using a rotor tool to sand them down thin. I can only put on 1 because 2 is too thick for me to get the blade on and tighten the set screw. I'm including a pic of the rotor in the motor with 1 fiber washer in the front so you can hopefully tell me if the rotor is sitting in the spot it should be in order to run. I'm also including a pic of the two fiber washers I modified so hopefully you can tell me if the thickness is correct.

Adam, If two is too many, one will do. You need about 1/8-3/16" play or you'll find that your fan will just lock up. You ordered the black ones didn't ya. Next time get the grays, there much thinner.

No, actually they are red. Thats what I found weird, I've used red before with no problems but I'll take your suggestion next time and get grey

You can always add more but it's hard to take away, if you know what I mean.
