I have wired this fan by the John McComas wiring diagram I pulled from the site.... motor reads 277/253/25.2ohms.... The speed coil reads 5./4.2/1. ohms....And so the fan tries to turn when I help it but won't....I tested it with a speed coil and capacitor that I know works and I still get the same results.... The speed coil I took from another 77648 AG is smaller and reads 8.1/5.5/1. ohms.... Have I missed something?  Any help appreciated! Thanks!

It sounds like you have a bad capacitor.

jarred

try oiling it

there is a place on top of the bullet back

put the oil in the oiler on the top of the bullet back and see if it will run better

there is a hole on the bullet back and that is where you will find the oil spout

hope that helps

Thanks guys but the capacitor I used from another fan I know is good and I have put oil in and fresh grease that I commonly use for these fans.
