I have a question. I recently got the fan to work. The first time we got it running, it ran backwards. I fixed that though. But the fans "High" speed? Holy crap! I thought it wasn't going to stop going faster! It did but I think its doing some serious RPMs. The motor has 2 poles. Is this healthy?

Yes, that's perfectly and absolutely normal. When I got my R&M 2840 (8" BB/SC) and ran it on high, I honestly thought the blades were going to be ripped off of the hub!! It sounds like a jet engine on high too. Wouldn't want my fingers ANYWHERE near those super-sonic blades! :badidea
