I contacted Vornado customer service and received some tech specs that were NOT
on their website. The fans have C-Frame motors but also have a 3 year warranty.
A little pricey, but they oscillate, 3 speeds, directional air flow & remote.

Sure it does - they probably test by putting the fan at the end of a 40 foot long peice of duct pipe the same diameter of the cage and see if they can feel air coming out the other end.
Out in the open..... well..... they probably are pretty good within 10 feet of it.

Those 30-40' numbers are correct if you have a 10 MPH tail wind...
I tested my big one last night and on high it pooped out between 10-15' away.

Well Zach, they can NEVER be as aesthetically pleasing as a window or box fan...
But....
Consider them as being "In the rough"
You need to add your own accouterments!
Personally I would just love to add cabbage rose decals, or maybe paint lime green
with pearl crystals....or maybe stick on "flames"
...Then again, if they used a GE motor, it might make flames on its own!

I have A V8 Flippi that I got at the beginning of the month of July. It can blow! I'm going to do a Flippi-Zippi comparison test soon. I love it!
