I contacted Vornado customer service and received some tech specs that were NOT
on their website.  The fans have C-Frame motors but also have a 3 year warranty.
A little pricey, but they oscillate, 3 speeds, directional air flow & remote.

Sure it does - they probably test by putting the fan at the end of a 40 foot long peice of duct pipe the same diameter of the cage and see if they can feel air coming out the other end. :imao

Out in the open..... well..... they probably are pretty good within 10 feet of it.

Those 30-40' numbers are correct if you have a 10 MPH tail wind...

I tested my big one last night and on high it pooped out between 10-15' away.

Well Zach, they can NEVER be as aesthetically pleasing as a window or box fan...

But....

Consider them as being "In the rough"

You need to add your own accouterments!

Personally I would just love to add cabbage rose decals,
or maybe paint lime green
with pearl crystals....
or maybe stick on "flames"

...Then again, if they used a GE motor, it might make flames on its own!

I have A V8 Flippi that I got at the beginning of the month of July. It can blow! I'm going to do a Flippi-Zippi comparison test soon. I love it!
