Lisa got me thinking that if Lasko replied, maybe Vornado would, so I e-mailed them to see what they could tell me about the model M25E1-1 Window Fan I have...
They replied:
"This is not one of our models"
So then I replied back:
"I'm quite certain it is, this fan was manufactured in the 50s though"
and got this:
In this case, it may be an Old O.A. Sutton model that was made between 1945-1959.
We do not services these. Maybe this info will help you
Alternative Repair Source of OLD Vornados.
Check out this also:
http://www.rcrescent.com/index.htm , a very informative website run by
Richard Raclawski, whose e-mail address is --edited out--. Richard has a surprising number of repair parts, as well as pictorial
diagrams and wiring schematics, on his website, and he offers repair and restoration services, including motor and choke rewinding.
He seems to be genuinely interested in the preservation of older Vornado fans.
He has a web site at http://www.rcrescent.com
Again....nothing about it being unsafe to use, nor did they try to push their newer fans on me instead...
Surprising...
("again" is because I also e-mailed Lasko...see post #38 in Lisa's other thread...)
Odd
It seems that soon everyone will be swarming companies with e-mails about their vintage fans

I just have the urge to now contact GE, Sears, Marvin, etc...about all my others as well
Does anyone know the present day re-incarnation of Coronado or Polar Cub?

| If you have Vornado questions, contact Alan Wicks (Roster) there. Great guy.

Oh I know about Alan, I bought my 120TT from him on ebay
This more to just see what they would say...although, don't get me wrong, I would have been ecstatic if they had said "What parts do you need, we'll get them to you"
I probably would have fainted right on the spot
