i bought some nos wire from Nicholas Denney now its lookin better it had a brow rubber headwire that didnt match the fan all that well now it looks better i give you the picture Attached Image (viewed 84 times):

I have yet to see a 1940s-era Power Aire whose finish does not look like it has been through a war (restored examples notwithstanding). Westinghouse must have used crappy paint during that decade. Too bad, because these are my favorite Power Aires.
Since my Power Aires will be going to Myles, I'm not going to do much with them. But I may polish the micarta blade of my little wartime Westy, à la Nick (polish/acetone/polish). Nick's blade is like a mirror!
