|
I am trying to identify an unusual ceiling fan. It is a heavy chandelier with hanging lights (missing), and has a 6 bladed fan which drives a louvered deflector via a pulley system. Any information is appreciated.

| You might want to check with Chuck Abernathy who has something very similar in his collection. I think his is a Safety Car or something like that.

This should take you take a picture of Mr. Abernathy's fan. It is similar.

your fan is a 'fandolier' and as mentioned previously, was manufactured by the 'Safety Car Heating And Lighting Company'. Your model appears to be th most common of the residential models in captivity..... it seems i have seen about 6-8 of that model whereas most of the other models i have seen (about 8 different 110V residential models) There should be a tag on the side of the motor that says Fandolier.........
i have never seen any of these residential models listed or shown anywhere in catalogs or magazines. Only the more simple designed 32V dc train fans shown in the images below.

Thanks for all of the help!!! This one looks like the exact fan! I thought two of the lamp arms were missing, but it looks like it's the pull switches that are missing instead. At least now I know what the complete fixture looks like and can start trying to find the missing parts...
Do you any idea of a value?
