Now that my new'ish Myford Super 7 lathe and mill are installed I am beginning to complete jobs that have been too large for the micro (Boley, Cowells and  Pulta) lathes including oilers for my Marelli collection and loads of brush covers.  I have been experimenting with various plastics and settled upon Delrin as it machines well will plenty of coolant from the suds pump and have been experimenting with various forms of knurking tooling.  Tonight I finally cracked the problem with some 20 years old stright form knurls from Jones and Shipman.  I also have capstan equipment so these can be made quite easily and threads machine cut on the Myford - such a lovely lathe, though  a god one is still quite expensive.  I am happy to experiment with anyone wanting brush covers providing I have complete dimensions and a photo if possible.  I have just made some brass brush inserts for one of the Marlellis and will be happy to demontrate the kit working for those coming over to the meeting on July 25th.  As for the gearsing for the Veritys, I now have all the tooling but need to learn to use it - straight gears up to 7" are no probelms if they are cycloidal but most fan gears are involute and I don't feel inclined to fully equip on those just yet - worm gears don't appear as daunting s I had imagined as I have both cross and lateral feeds on the Myford and a 71 gear gearbox to cope with all the thread specs.  Happy to chat with anyone who has already done this and has hints and help.
