| Is there a way to increase the contact pressure on the three speed switch?

| Dave, if you have the new style one that is fiber, the fiber usually bends. I have tried to bend the contact arm, but finally resorted to getting a newer model switch & placing the 29 series choke on it.

Dave, don't swap a BIG MOTOR 29666 speed choke with a a small motor 29648/29646 speed choke dude. You will be able to cook your Bacon & eggs on the small motor choke After the big motor is done with it. Last edited on Fri Jul 3rd, 2009 04:34 am by Russ Huber

| Dave, Bending those arms to get an acceptable amount of contact pressure has seldom worked for me. If you don't intend to completely disassemble the assembly, try this quick and easy little trick. Take a piece of 12 or 14g solid copper wire the length of the width of the knife switch arms. Place it between the two arms and position it to get a satisfactory amount of pressure. Next just tack solder it in place. Good luck. Last edited on Fri Jul 3rd, 2009 12:47 pm by Tom Newcity
