I heard that the GE-Emerson merger didn't work so they split apart and GE went back to using aluminum blades.

Seller says "THE ONLY THING WRONG IS THE CORD HAS HAD SOME PAINT DRIPPED ON IT AS SEEN IN THE PIC'S."

You know, that COULD be a Trojan blade. Well, NO, it can't be with Parker blades and it wouldn't be an Emerson 2210 blade since it has a steel hub. Maybe the hub was cut off and modified in some way to fit.

I'm always amazed when ebay sellers say such things as:

"THERE IS ONE END OF THE WIRES ON THE BACK THAT NEEDS TO BE REATTACH, A SIMPLE FIX."

and

"SOMEONE ELSE HAS TAKEN THE SWITCH AND REPLACE IT WITH A ONE SPEED SWITCH WHEN IT IS SUPPOS TO BE A 3 SPEED SWITCH, I AM SURE IF REPLACE IT WILL WORK ON ALL 3 SPEEDS (BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL SPEEDS WORK BECAUSE I COULD ONLY TEST IT IN ONE SPEED)"

You think so Russ? Looks like a stamped hub to me (two rivets instead of three) and an early 24xxx would have a cast hub. I don't know just what was done to put that blade on that motor. You need another project or, maybe Peter would buy it and let us know what the deal is.

The Emerson 24046 DC I just finished had that same hub and STEEL hub fingers.  This dude on the ebay auction lists this fan as a 16" in his description.  Check out the number of rivets in each Emerson blade wing.....2.  A 16" Emerson blade with STEEL hub fingers would have .........3 rivets per wing.  The earlier DC Emersons prior to the 24xxx series would without question have a cast hub and hubby fingers. :D  The 24xxx series DCs may of been a transitional hub on the DCs as well as the ACs(cast iron to steel)?  :wondering:

From what I can see guys, it's a screw on hub 2 rivet's per blade steel not cast. He may have filed  the hub with J-B weld and let it harden, and maybe then drilled it for the rotor shaft and a set screw.

To play it safe in the event I may if influenced someone I am going to retract my bold positive I.D. of the blade.  Why?...because I'm not there in person looking at it.:D  It was picture number three down in the auction from the side that.......sure looks like a DC hub to me.  :wondering:  But...once again...I am not there to positively identify it.

Ron, the DC hub on the Emerson 24046 I restored did not have cast iron spider fingers.

Russ, I'm just making my own observation for what it's worth and, trying to help figure it out for myself as well why someone would go to so much hassle.

My guess is it wasn't the seller that put this poor beast together it was probably done sometime in the past and the seller picked it up sometime later.
