Help,
I am a newbee to this website. If there is anywhere on earth that I can find a Lakewood P-25, it is here. You guys are amazing! I am one of the "wierd" groups of people that needs a fan by my bed to fall asleep. My old faithful Lakewood P-25 died a few weeks ago. I was going to try to diagnose the problem until I found out that my wife threw it away! I am desperate. I have had that fan since 1983. Nothing else sounds like it! Does anyone have one for sale? Even a private-labeled P-25 for K-Mart, JCPenny, etc., would do!
Thanks!

ps - sorry for the double post. My first post most likely will be deleted since I did not use my first and last names.

I don't think the P-25 came out until the late 90's. The fan you may be looking for is a P-23 or a P-47 with the thermostat and the 4-rivet blade. Confirm this?
P-23: 3 blades and 3-rivets on each blade, 3 speed, shaded pole motor
P-47: 3 blades and 4-rivets on each blade, 3 speeds and thermostat, shaded pole motor
If you need pictures, I can supply some.

Rob,
You can tell that I do not know my fans. The fan that I had was a Lakewood. Dark brown-colored metal cabinet with white plastic finger grills. It had two controls - speed (3) and a thermostat. The three blades were made from aluminum. I truly do not remember the number of rivets used to attach each blade. The motor had two little ports on it to add oil.
Not sure if this helps.
Thanks!
Bob

| The P-25 can still be gotten on eBay or do a search for them, I think Ace Hardware still has them for sale online. The sound is very close to the old ones.

You had a P-47/M box fan. I have the same exact one you are talking about but I am definitely not ready to sell it yet.

Is this one of those P something or others your looking for there Bob? My lucky day it came in a jungle Jim as well. The guy I bought from was trying to force feed me a ancient Regina as well. Just to get him off my back I bought it. Heck it still sucked like the day it was made. Attached Image (viewed 66 times):

Russ,
The fan in the photo is not a Lakewood P-25 or P-47 that I so desperately need to buy. I do very much appreciate your post. Thanks!

Mark,
I have spent days searching ebay and the web. All of the P-25 fans listed on the web are actually Lasko fans with plastic blades. I have called more than a dozen websites, including ACE, only to find that the P-25's are all gone and are being substituted with the Lasko version.
Thanks!
Bob
