Vintage/Antique GE Vortalex 4 Blade Oscillating Fan
Tag reads: Spec. 272903-1, CAT. FM12V1, 110/130V, CY 60, A1.2
Fan is 17ā tall
Fan blades are 5ā long, which I think makes this a 12" fan.
Cage is 13.5ā in diameter
1947?
This fan is beautiful. I love the classic design, and hate to sell it, but it's time to let her go. I wanted to make sure it went to a good home, so I'm offering it to AFCA before posting it on Ebay. It works, but has a rattle, so Iām sure it needs a tune-up. It has some old tape holding the guard together in two places, see photos.
I have no idea what a fair price would be for this particular model, so I'm asking $85.00. If this is way off the mark, please let me know.
As many of you know, these old fans are very heavy, which is why shipping will be about $19.50 for US Postal Service Parcel Post, or up to $30.00 for US Postal Service Priority Mail.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions. Thanks for looking.Attached Image (viewed 184 times):

I know that posting anything but fans to the forum is probably not allowed, but, because you all are obviously purveyors of industrial design, I had to post this awesome little Art Deco space heater. After all, there is a fan inside ;)
11 3/4"H X 10 3/4"W X 6 1/2"D 'ARVIN' ELECTRIC METAL FLOOR HEATER model #203A. It has the original bright ivory baked on enamel finish with stepped side design and polished chrome grill, mounted on the stepped, dark burgandy baked on enamel finished base. It does have a little bit of rust, mainly around the base, and some red paint (see photograph). Forced air circulation created by the inside heater coils with fan which circulate 45 cubic feet of warm air per minute. Easy on/off toe switch.
It was sold through the SEARS CATALOG in 1947. Made by NOBLITT-SPARKS INDUSTRIES, INC., Columbus, IN. Circa 1947. This is all original, and if you plan to use it as a space heater you may want to have it cleaned and checked out by an expert before turning it on and leaving it unattended.
$50.00
The shipping on this is $14.00 US Postal Service Parcel Post, or up to $21.00 US Postal Service Priority Mail.
OK, no more postings from me about anything but fans. Thanks for looking.Attached Image (viewed 170 times):

Jeff, I believe that heaters are acceptable as you've pointed out a lot of us collect them also.
