Is the badge scratched or is that sticker residue?

I don't believe it... I have one of these too. I found it in a garage when I was doing some work for the new owners of the building to which it was attached. The place belonged to an old pack-rat and  the people who took the place over told me to take whatever I wanted from the basement and garage, and take as much as possible! This was actually the first thing I grabbed off the pile. Very powerful little thing, but it has a noisy bearing. I don't suppose you might know where I could find the means by which to repair it, would ya'? I can't imagine tossing it, and for $15, you can't get anything new that comes close to how well it works! Of course, mine is a little filthy- it's been running in my laundry room for a couple of years... I guess I'll have to fix it up now.
