Myles...............
I don't have any experience with these so do not know if it would work. Does your switch knob look the same? What do you think?
This fan is a ser. R .......... There is one on ebay that looks the same but is a ser. N. So Hunter must have made these fans for quite a while if the ser when from N....to....R

| The switch on the later fans 60's/70's were interchangeable and *may* be interchangeable with the earlier fans (aka the Zephair or the Century) but likely not strictly due to the design on the bakelite switch knob.

Terry, just to make sure....
4 position switch 3 speed... Off Hi Med Low
Is that right?
You feel you need an original switch?
If you need a replacement, this should work for you...

Those are nice, solid switches. I'm using one in my Power-Aire right now and it works like a charm!

Hello, You can get the three speed switches through Grainger. Its a rotary switch Item # 4X087 or through Drillspot.com. There real cheap, a couple of bucks. I just replaced one in one of my AC Gilberts (Vorado style fan) just recently. There manufactured by Carling still and are identical to the ones used in the 50's. These come with different shaft lenths and collars, so make sure you get the right size.

Hi, Terry, that's just a standard switch; you should be able to buy one at your local hardware store. Hi-Med-Lo is the sequence. I bet you can reuse the knob. If you can't find one, call me and I'll go to the store and get one for you, or get the model number from the display.

Thanks for all the help.
That switch from Graingers that McComas suggested worked perfectly.
So electrical fan power is now restored.......................................
