I am currently looking for a large 20" window fan for my livingroom. I would like it to have a lot of power and be reliable. Something that could last for a very long time. Anything like the Vornado 5 wing window fan that Zach has, I will buy automatically. Hunter Zephair 20" would be nice too.

I am hoping for 2-3 speed.

I will not take non-reversable fans.

In my house, it needs to be big, ugly and fat. Otherwise it won't last too long =\

Siblings... ugh...

GOOD GOD!  The one on the right is ginormous!
The left one is probably the same size as my Vornado & Lasko

The giant one. Is it for sale? And is it 20 inches?

The small one is 18" and the large one is 22". They're both 2 speed reversible. The 22" is missing one of the side panels.

Rob, send me a PM if interested.

I'm on the fence bout the "Ugly" part, Window Fans are my favs by far...but it's definetly big & beefy
Perhaps when I have more room (and money) I can get more big *** window fans!  (Homart Home Cooler perhaps, maybe bigger...)

The larger one is much like the one I had, except mine was pristine. I found it by the side of the road and schlepped it home, only to have my dad chuck it when I was on holiday in Portugal. Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! This was around 1990, but I remember it like it was yesterday, and I never forgave him for it.

Alas, all I have left is the motor cover.

I was livid. Every time I see the motor cover in my box of fan stuff I could puke.

Congrats on the auction, Zack! I followed it to the end.

Are you getting an error message at DT?

Yes I am...it's driving me nuts!
As for the Vornado...I am ecstatic...I just hope I don't hear the nagging "do you want the fan more than a car" speech when it comes....
I totally want a car but I'm in a city with public transportation...so I can afford to wait a little...:P

You'll get a car in due time. Right now it's not a necessity for you. When it becomes one, you'll know what you have to do.

At first, I didn't know what you were talking about so I went to check it out. Sure enough....:wondering:
