Might be able to repair the existing one? is that just one broken weld i see? might be able to find someone with the right equipment and welding exp to fix that for you. just an idea.

That cage is definately fixable with a bottle of Mapp gas , the right flux silver solder rod and an experienced set of hands. That model Fasco fan with the ring starred badge doesn't show up over & over again. Jim Lindsey would be proud of you for saving this one, it's a great running fan. 2 thumbs up for your efforts. If you can't find someone local to help you , I'll fix it for the posting cost to the fan barn and back.

It's just this sort of comment and offer of assistance for another collector that tells you what caliber of persons are members of AFCA. I doubt if you could find another group of folks on this planet with a common interest (fans) mostly coming from disparate backgrounds that are so helpful, giving and just plain ol' "nice folks".
It may sound corny, but it makes me glad to be associated with such genuinely nice individuals.
