I got the blade off.  It is the Four Blade aluminum blade that has some brown chips still attached.  So my guess is that the Blades were oringially brown.  However the cage is rusted.   I have removed the cage and removed the top layer of rust with 220 grit wet sand paper.  The question.  The metal looks to be a high quality nickel type steel.  Was this cage a clear metal finish or was it painted the same color as the blade and fan?

The Hub seems to be heavy milled steel.  The patent on the blade is 1957237

with a 31 degree pitch.

As far as I know the cage on this model was painted the same color as the fan.
