FAN IS NO LONGER FOR SALE. I FOUND A CRACK IN ONE BLADE WING, DON'T WANT TO SEND IT OUT THAT WAY. JERRY BACON'S WESTINGHOUSE TANK IS CHEAPER, ANYWAY.
I bought this fan a number of years ago. It just sits in a spare bedroom, wishing for a home where it would get used. Paint is original, a few nicks, but still that deep luster you only get with the original coating. I polished all the brass when I cleaned it up, and it's now a little less shiny than the pix show, but still lovely. Will run all day without getting warm. I think the badge may be a Darryl Hudson reproduction; I can't remember, and it doesnt' really matter, as you can't tell the difference.
$450 plus shipping, or will deliver to Houston meet this weekend.

Okay, two weeks and no bites. No, I'm not lowering the price. Go ahead, buy a beat up junker for half that, then end up with $600 or more in it, see if I care. You big bunch of sissies.

Mark, The word is not sissies, it's Broke  's In fact I bet there's a lot of us now being it so close to Christmas that just can't afford to buy presents for the family and for our selves at the same time. That and I don't think my Son's and Daughter's would like me to buy my Grand-kids fans for Christmas. It's hard enough trying to explain to them why I buy fans for myself. I always get the "Dad why do you need a whole room of fans when you only use one" thing.

The average wage in the U.S. was 22 cents per hour.
The average U.S. worker made between $200 and $400 per year.
A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year; A dentist $2,500 per year; a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year; and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.
I bet this fan sold for at least $25+ fresh out of the crate?  If you were an average U.S. worker making $300 a year back in 05...this R&M fan would cost you at least 1/12th of your annual income. Now find the the most recent average annual U.S. income and divide it by 12 and there is what the fan from the good old days would cost you today. Then....compare that cost to Mr. Goodrich's asking price. Facts are...we always prefer the ways of the good old days....right?

There seems to be a lot of people from Vietnam interested in old American fans. Today at our fan meet a member brought a NEW fan in the box that was made in Vietnam and brought over to the USA. A nice looking fan and it was interesting to see what a Vietnam fan looked like.
I think we have some trouble understanding each other's language but we will try and I think we can.

| I bet Vietnam has plenty of american made fans from the mid forties mfgr and newer up to about '73. Just a guess.
