This is quite an interesting fan. The aluminum blades are hand polished (by me, adding considerable value) and very shiny. The motor has BIG ball bearings (Royal Purple Grease) and runs forever, quietly, doesn't heat up. There's a whole lot of air being moved. I replaced the power cord with a safe, slightly longer, period-correct one (i.e. wubbah). Head wire was also replaced with correct cloth-covered wire...I dunno, it was there. Also had to replace the original Levolier pull switch with the toggle you see. Two speeds.
Chrome pole does show some pitting, and extends to about 900 feet, I think...I've never tried to see how high it will go. Base is wrinkle paint, shows a little surface rust, and there are little white paint speckles (If I ever open a fan factory, I am going to ship all fans pre-speckled, to save owners the trouble) on the base, motor housing, etc.
I never tried to do anything with the badge or the cage; this is a work fan in my garage. Unfortunately, I don't use it any more, and it needs a new home.
I will NOT SHIP...too much trouble...but I will deliver it to Stan's meet this weekend.
Those of you enamored with big Freshn'd Aire fans will find this Mamou Emerson is quieter, better, more powerful, has a better sound, and will blow skeeters into the next state, never mind off the deck.
$400 sounds about right. SEND A PM.

It's in nice shape, design from the deco 30s, will circulate fresh air throughout your home or your way cool garage. If you have a loft apartment, or spacious rooms with high ceilings.... it is a must have!  And even if you have a cluttered messy garage like ours, it still works just as good there.

Dang, maybe I should keep it! SWMBO would brain me if I herniated myself dragging that thing upstairs from the garage. I guess I'd need to put it on a Variac. Dang, a REALLY GOOD IDEA, Russ!
However, I'll still sell it.

| how long did it take you to get the blades that shiny? That would've took me hours by hand. I just bought a bench buffer and that makes my life a whole lot easier. Great Restoration!
