For those who have left phone messages for me at home, sorry, I'm not there...yet. :D

I have something from Chicago Electric Mfg. Co.  This example has an 8" 4 wing blade with cast iron base and motor housing.  There is a single speed slide switch in the back of the fan.  This example has a 2 pole motor.  This Chicago Electric badged HANDYBREEZE design was also used in a window ventilator.

Howard Colman(Barber-Colman) was taking design patents for their Bakelite portables earlier than Chicago Electric(filed 30). So it appears the Bar-Cols lead the pack.

The U.S. patent link to the fan is in my VERY FIRST POST HERE. If you "click" on the link ABOVE with your MOUSE a U.S. patent will APPEAR. This fan you like is from CHICAGO ILL. around "1931". It has a 8 inch blade and is a SINGLE speed with a TWO POLE STATOR. I AM MOST HAPPY YOU LIKE IT.
