| I need a brass wingbolt, I think it is 3/8X16 thread. I have one and need two (total) for the fan I am working on. Also still looking for that all illusive motor end cap for the back of the motor. email or PM me. NOTE: NOT MY FAN PICTURED!!! Attached Image (viewed 250 times):

Pretty sure I have that. It's a fine thread wing nut and looks just like what's in your photo. Want to trade maybe.
I need 1 brass clamp for a GE Strut and 1 brass link clamp for the back wire on a GE brass cage. It's that compression clamp that holds the brass ring together. Looks like a Butt Splice for crimping wire together.

Just use brass tubing with an ID that is the same or close to the OD of the Cage Wire. Cut a length and crimp it on.

That's an OUTSTANDING idea. I'm ashamed that I didn't think of it.
Thanks.

| That doesn't look like a GE pancake thumbscrew. Not a deep enough saddle between the wings. GE 12" thumbscrews measure -1/2 " across the thumb parts while Emerson's measure 1-13/16". I don't have a 16" trunnion pancake to check but I bet they are the same as the 12" pancake. Last edited on Mon Nov 2nd, 2009 04:14 pm by Steve Stephens

| I "might" have one of the wingbolts. I'll check when I get home. For the rear bearing cover you can also use one from a GE BMY motor. I know I dont have one of those though.

G.E. made gazillions of those cat. 34017 12" stationary fans. Those bearing caps are the same size as the BMYs. I would bet most if not all of the teens 12"+ stationaries would have the same size bearing cap. Yup...sometimes it's rob from Petey to pay Paul.

Any idea what it might be for?

No, I don't Mark. I can see only GE pancakes and Emerson/Trojans that use such a wing screw but I bet there are other fans that also use similar screws. Maybe a photo taken straight from the side might make it match up to an Emerson. Is the width of the wings on yours the same as I measured on the Emerson screw?
