| From the photo, the blades seem to have a super steep pitch. It looks like it really moves a lot of air, Nice find.

Yes they do have a steep pitch, most Vornado fans do.

| I don't own a Vornado (yet) but I've seen a quite few. These blades seem steeper than others I've seen, maybe it just looks that way in the photo.

Yes I am pretty sure it is a box fan, it has a grille on the back side. It may be able to be used as a window fan as well but it is a box fan.

It probably had extensions....my Homart Room Cooler, which is a similar size to that one, has extensions as well, so it would make sense to me

| rob the fan you have was usable on the floor hence the arrangement on the top, but this fan was called the "casement" model window fan which is why it has tracks on the top. many apartment houses and post ww2 homes originally had swing out casement windows and vornado, hunter and others made special models just for these narrow crank out windows.... a great find. i think kim frank has restored a couple of these....

Thanks for the info. I definitely knew it could be used as a window fan due to the features but I already have a beefy Vornado window fan for that purpose. Hopefully I can restore this one.
