It's just like it sounds. RayDiCo was Radio... They owned WGAS one of the first Chicago radio stations. I'll guess that motor had some purpose uniquely rated to radio station usage? There weren't that many radio stations back then. This WGAS evolved into WGN radio.
Hey Loren, your pretty much on target dude. RAY-DI-CO "ORGANIZATION" licensed WGAS in Chicago. I found a date on the WEB that indicates WGAS came into being June 30, 22? Their Frequency was 833 khz.
According to the web link provided below The Chicago Tribune in 24 acquired WAAF and changed it to......WGN. In the same year the Tribune acquired WDAP and absorbed their goodies into...WGN. I have no clue so far how long WGAS was on the air? Were they absorbed, and by whom?
The only licensing I see from RAY-DI-CO so far.... was to WGAS. So...if I am right..this synchronous generator muskmelon was originally the property of only...WGAS of Chicago. I found it....way up north. Amazing how things get around huh? I bet some fan dork rewired it for a motor and put a buffer on it.

Okay you guys, enough chit-chat- get that thing running!
Russ, you know to hurts my feelings a little that you have to go outside the AFCA brotherhood for help re-wiring this muskmellon.

Hey Russ,
I like this 'Musk Mellon'. Let me know if you want to sell it?

I thanked you sincerely for your help Randy. Gary Heidenfeldt(AFCA member) over the phone tried to help me as well. It is still not functional. I live here...you live there. I made a choice to find someone very near to me(less than 1/2 hour) to help me...ONE on ONE. If I want to research the history of this thing and share it...my toy...my post. Sorry if your upset.
By the way...if your interested in it Randy...send me a PM so we can discuss it..please don't post your interest openly on the forum. Thank you!

Russ,
I'm not upset- just ribbin' you a little. I enjoyed the exchange- my life would be so boring otherwise! I do appreciate your dedication to this sort of thing.
