Hi Chris,
Did the fan run before you took it apart? Judging by the photos of the windings, looks like they are toast:violin:It looks like some of the wire no longer has any varnish on it meaning even if you do rewrap you will still short out the wires (turns) to each other. Not good. It may be the photo that is showing me that but it doesn't look good........good luck.

Mike

Like Mike said - if the windings were good to begin with you will probably be okay as long as you are careful and dont scuff any of the varnish of the wire. They do look like they were already toasted though. I have rewrapped pancake windings with new cloth tape that looked worse though and they were fine.

Not sure on the badge. Not sure how it shoudl have looked but it appears to have raised letters. If so you could paint the entire background color then repaint the actual letters with a very small lettering brush.

I would reinsulate them before I wrap them up. Better safe the sorry!

The badge looks like you'll be looking for another one.

Unfortunately Chris the badge is only a decal and when bad, not much you can do with it......I know, I have a few with the same problem.........if you are an artist..I'm not......then Richard's suggestion may be a good fit for you.......good luck again.
